By default, you only have access to your Monitoring-Device like “Realtek(R) Audio” to import in both OBS-Studio, Streamlabs or Any other application.
With the right soft- or hardware multiple virtual outputs like “System”, “VoiceChat”, “Game”, “Browser” get added to Windows.
Thats the first step of professionalizing the audio-setup since now it is possible to adjust every single soundsource by itself.
Example: Excluding Discord from your Streammix but inlcuding it in your Headphonemix.
Mixing
Controlling the Volume for your recordings can be difficult. With the right tools, mixing and adjusting volume is made easy.
Setting the correct volumes for your microphone, the game, discord, music and more is critial. Have you ever watched content where the game is louder than discord or even the content-creator?

DMCA-Strike Prevention
A lot of Content-Creators play copyright-music during streaming. The risk of getting a DMCA-Strike depends on what music your are playing, to how many viewers you are broadcasting and more. However the risk of getting caught is never zero.
You can get caught during streaming, however most users get a strike because of the VOD of the past livestream.
I can setup your OBS-Studio or Streamlabs so the Music will only be present during the livestream not the VOD or even exclude the music completley for the stream but not for you as the broadcaster.
